ARAMARK'S POSITION REGARDING THE FUTURE OF LAKE POWELLIn recent months, several groups and individuals have come forth to
suggest that Lake Powell should be drained. ARAMARK disagrees.
We fully support the goals of the Bureau of Reclamation and the National Park Service in preserving Lake Powell for the 2.5 million people who visit and
recreate on the lake and in the surrounding areas each year.
ARAMARK feels strongly that the Bureau of Reclamation has effectively utilized its expertise to carefully study the issue and related concerns in
determining that the Lake be neither drained nor lowered.
ARAMARK is committed to providing superior services to the people who visit the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and will continue to provide those
services as well as useful employment to over 1,000 important team members, including the people in the communities surrounding lake Powell and the people of the Navajo Nation.
ARAMARK provides managed services to
Lake Powell and many other national parks and recreation areas around the United States.
