Operation of Glen Canyon Dam - Final Environmental Impact Statement (March 1995)

Colorado River Interim Surplus Criteria

    • Record of Decision - Signed January 16, 2001 in San Diego, California by Secretary of Interior Bruce Babbitt.
    • Final Environmental Impact Statement - December 15, 2000 - Addresses the potential environmental effects of the proposed adoption of specific criteria under which surplus water conditions may be determined in the Lower Colorado River Basin during the next 15 years. The FEIS presents five possible alternatives for implementation, plus a "no action" alternative; it also identifies a preferred alternative - the "Basin States Alternative" - that specifies various Lake Mead water surface elevations to be used as "triggers" to indicate when surplus conditions exist. Click on the title above to access the document.
    • Errata for Final Environmental Impact Statement on Colorado River Interim Surplus Criteria - This errata sheet corrects figures in several tables published in the FEIS.
    • Draft Environmental Impact Statement - Addresses the potential environmental effects of the proposed adoption of specific criteria under which surplus water conditions may be determined in the Lower Colorado River Basin during the next 15 years.
